Meet the Team

An experienced and qualified Senior Oxygen Therapy Operator, Elizabeth oversees the safe operation and day-to-day management of our oxygen therapy service.

Val is an experienced and qualified Senior Oxygen Therapy Operator. She supports the safe delivery of our oxygen therapy service and assists with volunteer training and development. She has supported our work for over 4 years, both as a volunteer and as a part-time member of staff.

James is an experienced and qualified Senior Oxygen Therapy Operator. He supports the safe delivery of our oxygen therapy service and assists with volunteer training and development. He has supported our work for over 10 years, both as a volunteer and as a part-time member of staff.

Nancy has worked in the charity sector for over 25 years and with Compass since 2012. She works with the Board of Trustees on delivering our strategic objectives and business plans, and on securing funding both nationally and locally.  Nancy represents the Board externally, developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with statutory and other third sector organisations. She also ensures the organisation meets all its legal, statutory, and social obligations.

Fiona has worked with Compass for over 9 years. She updates, manages, and maintains our website and social media content and works on other aspects of our marketing activity. She also provides administration and IT support to the staff team as well as producing client newsletters, surveys, and reports.

Genevieve, a qualified solicitor from New Zealand, transitioned to the UK to pursue a career in the charity sector. She works closely with the Board of Trustees to deliver strategic objectives, secure funding, and build partnerships with statutory and third-sector organizations. She oversees the Centre’s daily operations, fostering a welcoming environment for clients, staff, and volunteers, while driving service development, business growth, and community engagement. Genevieve ensures the organization meets its legal and social obligations and leads on strategic planning for its future.

Ruth has been with Compass for over 7 years.  She coordinates and manages all client enquires supporting new and existing clients with information and advice on accessing our services.  She provides a friendly and welcoming service – managing client bookings and support therapies.

Andrew works alongside Ruth and is often the first point of contact for our clients. He helps in co-ordinating client enquires and service registrations, and with record administration and management. Working with Ruth he ensures our clients are provided with appropriate information in accessing our services. 

Jemma is the first point of contact for all our volunteer enquiries, supporting recruitment and induction. She also supports and promotes community fundraising activities and events in aid of Compass, and assists with the management of our social media accounts.  Jemma has been part of the team for over 5 years. 

Gillian is an experienced neuro physiotherapist with over 25 years’ experience. She joined Compass in 2012. As Clinical Lead she oversees the delivery of high-quality client care and the implementation of best practices to ensure that clinical standards are maintained. She plays an advanced role in helping our clients restore function and independence and is responsible for the clinical development of the staff team and development of Compass physiotherapy service.

Izabela is an experienced neuro physiotherapist. She trained in Poland and has worked with Compass since 2017. As a Senior Physiotherapist, Izabela plays an advanced role in helping our clients restore function and independence with detailed assessments of problems and specialized treatments.

Gary is a new addition to our Oxygen Team.  He has a background in customer services and has very much enjoyed getting to know all our clients and learn about Oxygen Delivery.

Elizabeth recently joined our oxygen team after a year of dedicated volunteering. With a background in neuroscience, she is passionate about supporting our broad range of clients and ensuring the safe delivery of our oxygen service.
