Helping You Find Direction On Your Neurological Journey

We are a hub for therapy and advice to support the wellbeing of those with neurological conditions to live the best lives they can.

We are also a listening ear, a place for friendship and sharing. A lifeline for many, we offer a choice of continuous support, whenever it is needed over a person’s lifetime to self-manage their condition.

We are a charity that supports local people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions such as ME / Chronic Fatigue, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, Stroke, traumatic brain injury and chronic migraines.

Where capacity allows, we also offer oxygen therapy to those with other long term or challenging health conditions, such as wound healing, Crohn's disease, and cancer recovery.

We support people in managing their symptoms such as: persistent fatigue, ‘brain fog, weakness, joint pain, depression, non-restorative sleep, changes in coordination or balance and tremors.

The Launch of Compass

We launched Compass: Therapy. Support. Community on the 30th March at the Apex Hotel Grassmarket who kindly supplied us with canapes and wine as well as providing the magnificent 5th floor venue for our event.

It was great to see so many people turn up to support our formal transition to an organisation offering support to people with a range of neurological conditions.

An estimated one million people in Scotland live with a neurological condition that has a significant impact on their lives.

    (Neurological Alliance, Scotland)

The numbers of are increasing with public services struggling to support growing needs.

We are based in Edinburgh and support our local Lothian community. Our community includes those we help as well as volunteers, partners, and local businesses – we are all part of supporting the wellbeing of our community.

    What services do we provide?

We address individuals’ challenges, rather than a particular condition and its symptoms. We offer a choice of options to explore what works best for each individual.

Specialist oxygen therapy and physiotherapy are supported by exercise classes and complementary therapies (e.g., acupuncture, reflexology, myofascial release, and massage.

We also offer practical advice and community sharing. We have a befriending service, peer sharing and social activities. We help people with referrals for care packages, benefits, and allowances. We also support carers with practical advice.

Initially we were an MS charity, and we are currently transitioning so that more services are available to those with other neurological conditions. Currently oxygen therapy is available to all neurological conditions and existing clients. The other therapies will be rolled out to all as capacity arises.
