Breathe Better

Breathing is something we all do, but many of us have poor breathing patterns that can be made worse by long term health conditions. Learn why it’s important to pay attention to how you breathe and how you can do it better!

Mindfulness
This taster session is a unique opportunity for participants to learn modern mindful approaches as taught and designed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the stress reduction clinic at the University of Massachusetts. It will give you the opportunity to dip your toe into Mindfulness and stress reduction. For an hour, you’ll experience a gentle and relaxing introduction to the principal skills, techniques and scientific research behind Mindfulness.

Seated Yoga
This taster session will introduce you to the practice of Chair Yoga - participants can remain seated for the whole session. It aims to bring yoga to people who may feel that a general yoga class may not suit them for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you have arthritis, chronic fatigue, have difficulty transitioning from lying to sitting or standing ? Or you would like to try some light exercise, breathing techniques and meet new people - Chair Yoga may be the ideal activity for you.
